HISTORY
The Oringi site was originally constructed as a freezing works in 1989, serving as a major employer and contributor to Tararua's economy for nearly two decades.
When the freezing works closed in 2008, the site was purchased by Scanpower, the local community-owned electricity distribution business. This strategic move ensured the land remained a valuable asset for future development.
